Wordless Wednesday : Dashed Hopes

So this is a bit of a wordy way to start my Wordless Wednesday entry, but I had to say thank you for all your lovely responses on my last post about my dear friend, Sally.  I was a bit afraid there might be some backlash because of the sensitive nature of the topic and the situation at hand, but your supportive messages made me feel better.

I miss her every day, and sometimes things will happen where she randomly pops into my thoughts and I think of how I would just love to see her and tell her about everything that has been happening.

I spoke to one of Sally's sisters last week, and she said she was comforted by the fact that she remains in the thoughts of her friends, and will be forever cared about wherever she may be.  I will never forget her, and I will never give up the hope that I will some day see her again.

Thank you for your support.

For the biggest day of AFL for the year, we held our annual Grand Final Day BBQ.

Liam, being one of the biggest Hawthorn fans you'll ever meet...

...decided it would be appopriate to decorate the house in memorabilia.

And this is BEFORE all the posters and banners went up.

Oh well... there's always next year!

Wordless Wednesday happens here, here, here, here and here!

  4. Firstly, I was totally shocked, when I heard that they had actually caught someone regarding Sally, when I was boarding my flight to Melbounre on Thursday night... I am glad too, (for her family) that he told the authorities where she was, and that her family has not had to wait like the Morcombes in QLD. It is a heinous thing that he did, don't get me wrong, but at least her family and friends have a quick closure. I was also very much moved by the silent march through Brunswick on Sunday morning, I only saw it on TV and through facebook... Her family and friends will be in my thoughts and prayers for a long time...

Now, as you have seen, I went down (from Sydney) for the game, it was an absolute cracker of a game, and Hawthorn should be proud. They really gave it to the Swans, and were a great challenge!

Mines up as well at AussiePomm - Melbourne and a Footy Grand Final

    Have a great day!!
