On a bit of a sad note - our dear boy Bruce passed away while we were on holiday.
He was the most darling little thing, and used to love nothing more than a cuddle. He'd lie on his back, tucked up in the crook of my elbow while I tickled his tummy or scratched under his chin. He had no fear, and would even show Rocket who was boss, despite being only a fraction of the size of his opponent! I bet he's off having a brave adventure in Ratty Heaven right now!
So, I'd like to dedicate this (not so) Wordless Wednesday's post to a moment of silence for my brave boy, Bruce! You were more than "just a pet" to us. You brought us lots of entertainment, many laughs, endless cuddles, unconditional love, and constant companionship. We'll always be grateful for what you brought to our lives, and we'll never forget you.
Rest in Peace, little man.
Wordless Wednesday happens here, here, here, here, here and here!
Aww :-( I'm sorry Cat. I hope all your other 'family' members survived without you and are grateful to have you back :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your thoughts! :) The others are all doing well, which I'm glad for. I missed them heaps, so they've been getting lots of extra cuddles too!
DeleteAwww, I'm so sorry to hear that, Cat :(
ReplyDeleteRest in Peace, Bruce!

DeleteOh I'm so sorry, that's terrible, Cat!
ReplyDeleteThat's an awesome photo though... Bruce was a cutie!
Thanks, Missy! I know, he was a handsome little thing :)
DeleteOh I am so sorry to ready of your loss. Cute photo
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment :)
DeleteAw Brucey!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted a (pet) rat. (Thought I better specify that before the universe responds and sends wild rodents to my home!)
He was so very cute. Is that batman toy in the background his?
Sorry to hear you lost your little friend.
Rats make the most fantastic pets! You should totally get one! (Well, two. They need ratty friends!)
DeleteThat Batman toy is Liam's, as was the chocolate in Bruce's mouth. He never let that stop him though, what Bruce wanted Bruce got! Haha.
I raised him (and 8 of his siblings) from birth, and it is so amazing to see the different personalities they all have. He was a confident little lad, but so very lovable!
Sorry to read that, my little brothers dog got biten by a snake last week so I can relate to the sadness of it all.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so sorry to hear about your brother's dog! It's heartbreaking to lose a pet that's such a big part of your life!
DeleteAwww I'm sorry to hear that. RIP Bruce
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteThat's so sad, poor little Bruce :(
ReplyDeleteHe's probably living it up in Ratty Heaven! :)

DeleteI'm sorry for your loss. He was a cutie.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your thoughts :)
DeleteWe lost our 16 year old dog at Christmas, I understand the feeling. We are so lucky to have such gorgeous little pets in our lives. He was clearly a real cutie.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so sorry to hear that! My little elderly pup is going to be 15 this year, and I am SO dreading the day she has to leave me. But at the same time, I am so grateful for the years I've had with her and everything that she's brought to my life! It's painful to lose pets, but the joy of having them is so worth it! x
DeleteHow cute :( I am so sorry :( !
ReplyDeleteRIP Bruce :( I'm sorry I hope you feel better
